In 1988, the Women’s Centres of Nova Scotia officially formed Women’s Centres CONNECT!
CONNECT! provides a forum for sharing information and resources among women’s centres throughout the province. This consolidation of information, resources and tools ensures both effective and efficient use of program and service resources, including human, financial and material resources.

Women’s centres play a central role in community development initiatives such as second-stage housing, family violence and sexual assault response teams, anti-poverty and food security efforts, youth groups, women in business events.
